Lemisez what? You’d have to ask David Rakowski, the new england area shareware font creating madman who cranked out seemingly thousands of interesting faces in the 90′s, and then sort of moved on, back to music. Well, Lemiesz is a nice BOLD all caps face with numbers. Has a sort of retro – life during wartime feel to it, big bold and easy to read from afar. Download the TTF.

I will spare you the oh my darlings, Clementine Sketch is nice in an old-school sort of way, script-like and hand drawn, with an inline fancy flair that feels like a varsity jacket or school logo maybe. Clementine Sketch is the work of chicago resident – currently based at minneapolis college of art & design – freelance designer and illustrator Teagan White. Her website states “Her experience working with a diverse range of clients, from those in the music, fashion, and editorial industries to small business owners and individuals, has allowed her to reject much of the sterility of contemporary design in favor of an aesthetically-focused approach that bridges the perceived gap between graphic design and illustration. Intricate linework, naturalistic rendering, and subdued color are integral to her visual identity, while a fascination with natural history, antiquities, and mortality drives the content of her work.” and i think that pretty much is embodied in Clementine. Download the TTF and enjoy.

Extrafine flys in from Chicagoland area designer/illustrator/typographer/printmaker/musician Miko Ramirez. It’s another handy drawn font, scritchy scratchy and all rough-hewn, has a nice rugged authentic feel to it – ya know what I mean? Not too much to think about – just Download this – extrafine ttf.

Molot – a nice, thick and heavy bold choice that would be a great display face – ideal headline – legible from a far poster for a techno industrial group, you get the picture. Upper and lower cases are the same, it’s got numbers and a little more. Not really a font for setting long passasges or big blocks of body copy. Headlines, meet Molot. from Russian designer Roman Yershov, Jovanny Lemonad. Download high quality OTF face Molot!

Journal is the name of a typeface from well known design house Emigre, but this isn’t what you will find here – this is Journal from the Scandivanian Font Foundry, dependent on travel - Fontourist. Journal is a nice, simple hand script that isn’t fancy or frilly, it’s sort of what you would expect to find in a journal or diary and remains easy to read but isn’t the typical run of the mill script – Journal is a good choice for something familiar but different. Hit the road! Download the Journal Truetype font.
