Extrafine flys in from Chicagoland area designer/illustrator/typographer/printmaker/musician Miko Ramirez. Twenty Dee Bee .. 20DB .. a nice retro-flavored OTF type face from Russian designer  Jovanny Lemonad (Ivan Gladkikh). Sort of Art Deco, 20DB is legible and ideal for headlines, titles, display use (i can see it working nicely on posters). It feels a little like Monotypes Broadway typeface, but a little less frilly and deco-ish, a bit more angled and “russian” feeling to me! (does that make sense?) Tall Films, from Graham Meade of GemFonts (who is also responsible for the earlier posted Easter themed font BUNNY) is a slim, sleek, tall face that has a lot of potential for use in headlines, movie posters, really any display work – legible and with some unique style of its own – it comes in six flavors – Tall, Fine, Oblique, Expanded, Expanded Oblique, and Fine Oblique. Adam Vandenberg of Kirkland, WA based Flangy Fonts (formerly known as post micrographics) created Vargas, a nice hand drawn artsy font that looks like it could have been drawn by pin-up artist Alberto Vargas. (andcheck out the deep lower case g). Download Vargas TTF.
