A nice simple, elegant one – not too far off from Gill Sans maybe, but a bit more interesting. Quirky but not too out-there. More intriguing than Eurostile, but cut from the same cloth. Lane

Lane, from the prolific Apostrophic Labs is supplied in three versions – Narrow, Posh, and Upper. Narrow is just the nice, elegant plain jane none stylized version of this thin face. Posh adds the knockout stroke drop shadow look. Upper adds a funky underlined lower case variant to the mix, with underlined lower case vowels being the only thing different from the narrow version. Pretty funky when you need it to be, or just simple if that’s what you are looking for. Download the three LANE truetype faces.

Josefin Sans Light is a nice fresh face from Typemade, a new independent foundry based in Monterrey, Mexico. “The idea for create this typeface was to make it geometric, elegant and kind of vintage, special for titling. It is based on 1927 Rudolf Koch’s Kabel, 1930 Rudolf Wolf’s Memphis, 1927 Paul Renner’s Futura. My idea was to draw something with good style, specifically that reflects the swedish design and their passion for good lifestyle, and by default all other scandinavian styles. St. Marie Thin

Bud Null

Bud Null, from Tucson, Arizona based John David from Hands Off! fonts, is a nice free hand-done font that has some of the spirit of Corvinus Skyline mixed with the more straight laced EF Candida. Nice and easy to use, refreshing on a hot summer day. Download TTF of Bud Null.

Salaryman

Salaryman is a very nice freeware extended sans serif typeface from Patrick Broderick at RotoDesign in San Francisco, CA. The font is supplied as upper case only, and has limited punctuation included in the Truetype face – but Salryman does have a full alphabet and numerals. Nice, Thin, Extended, slightly round at the ends, super legible up close and from afar – Salaryman is a great type choice for headlines. Reminds me of a slightly less refined version of the more angular Miedinger Light from CanadaType. Download Salaryman TTF.
